I was hugely disappointed to read that AR Senator John Boozman voted against S. 1917, which would extend the payroll tax cut and reduce it to 3.1 %. It is simply further proof that the GOTP doesn't give a darn about the middle or lower class. I proceeded to write him the following letter. I hope all of you will write similar letters to your Senators if they voted against this bill. Go to www.opencongress.org and search "S. 1917" to find out how your Senators voted.

It is very disappointing to read that you voted against S. 1917, which would have extended the payroll tax cut for an additional year and reduced it further to 3.1 %. The idea to implement a modest 3.5% surtax on millionaires to pay for this extension is reasonable and favored by the majority in virtually every poll I've seen covered by every major network, including the official GOP network, aka, Faux Noise. By voting against it, you are hurting your constituents and apparently you don't care.
The counter-proposal by your party was ridiculous beyond words. Why should federal employees pay for your party's recklessness under the most recent Bush by going without a raise for 5 years? I guess though, since I don't have a "real" job according to you, the raise wouldn't have been real either. Funny, that doesn't make not getting a raise any easier to swallow.
There aren't many guarantees in life but here's one of the few: your continuing poor judgment in the Senate guarantees you will not have my vote in 2016.
